There’ll be ‘Summit’ to talk about for SafeGuard Glass & Glazing’s Rob Page and Daniel Mason

SafeGuard Glass & Glazing’s Rob Page, Sales Director, and Daniel Mason, Contracts & Installations Manager, have joined the team climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Kelly’s Heroes.

Taking on the charity challenge in September 2024, the two colleagues will embark on the hike of their lives, alongside a team of fellow glazing industry professionals, to scale Kilimanjaro’s 5,895 metre height.

Rob says: “I’ve never been one to turn down a challenge, so when our directors’ emailed to suggest I take part I couldn’t say no! It will be the biggest physical and mental challenge of my life, but now I’ve signed up I’m just chomping at the bit to get my boots on, start getting the steps in and hopefully seeing the pounds go up!”

Daniel adds: “I’m not one to shy away from something that is going to be hard either, so I had to take Kilimanjaro on – and it will be great to do this alongside Rob so we can spur each other on. My daughter has already appointed herself as my fundraising and training manager too, so I know I’ll keep on track!”

The charity, Kelly’s Heroes, was founded in 2019 following the devastating loss of Kelly Francesca Hewitt by suicide. The work the charity does raises awareness of mental health, offering services and support through local communities, workplaces and schools.

The pair add; “Kelly’s Heroes, is such an important charity raising vital awareness and fundraising to provide mental health support provisions. We’ve already had a great amount of support from our fellow colleagues at SafeGuard and are hoping that we can hold regular fundraising initiatives with the team to keep pushing our total up.”
