Independent Network celebrate success at their annual Members’ Weekend

VEKA’s installer support organisation, Independent Network, held its annual Members’ Weekend on 16th July 2022, at Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth. Following on from the conference and AGM, the Casino themed Gala Dinner and IN Awards ceremony was hosted by former British athlete and TV presenter Kriss Akabusi. 

The weekend provided opportunities for members and affiliates old and new to network and celebrate the successes of 2021. The award nominees were judged on various elements of their services, including customer satisfaction and sales achievement.

The deserving winners included –

Christina Fanthome, Frames Conservatories Direct Ltd – Sales Achievement Award 

Mister Window Company, Goliath Home World Limited, Turner Windows of Somerton Ltd – VEKA Sales Achievement 

Thistle Windows & Conservatories Ltd, Heavers of Bridport Ltd, Rugby Double Glazing Ltd, Ffenestri Kevin Thomas Windows, Qualplas Ltd, Mews Windows, Vantage Windows and Doors Ltd – National Customer Satisfaction 

Commenting on the event, Karen Lund, Head of Partner Programmes for VEKA plc said, 

“The weekend was a true celebration for our members and provided some fantastic opportunities for networking with our affiliate partners and each other. It was great to see people face to face again, after what has been a difficult 3 years. I would like to thank our overall event sponsors Improveasy & VEKA Recycling, along with our other sponsors who all contributed to creating a fantastic weekend.” 

The event also included table donations, a raffle, and an auction to raise money for three important charities, MNDA, We Mind & Kelly Matters which was set up by Glazerite Group Chairman John Hewitt, in memory of his late daughter Kelly, and Cancer Research UK – in support of Independent Network member Gary Sinnerton of the Home Design Group, who sadly passed away in July 2021. Auction prizes included signed sports memorabilia and an incredible £3870 was raised, to be shared equally amongst the three charities.
