Within Touching Distance of Launch

When Business Micros acquired The Consultancy back in February this year, Managing Director Graeme Bailey hinted at a new joint venture which he said would make the most of the obvious synergy between the two businesses and build on their individual strengths.

Just a couple of months on from that, the team are now within ‘touching’ distance of the initial launch and have announced that their new venture will be branded ‘TOUCH’.

Developed jointly by the data experts at Business Micros and the digital design team at The Consultancy, TOUCH is a brand-new software engine which will drive the next generation of Business Micros Group products and portals for both fabricators and installers.

Graeme Bailey said: “We have been talking to customers about these plans for many months and now we are about to launch something which we believe is truly game-changing. Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes throughout the enforced lockdown period and I can confirm that TOUCH based products will be ready to launch almost as soon as these restrictions are lifted.

“The first product, TOUCH Portal, is aimed at trade fabricators and will give them the opportunity to transform the way that they price and process orders and interact with customers, using a new, continually updated data platform hosted by Business Micros alongside an exciting new portal interface created by The Consultancy.

“Operating seamlessly with Business Micros Evolution production software, we know it’s got the potential to deliver real efficiency savings, as well as a hugely improved trade customer experience.”

TOUCH Portal is expected to launch at the beginning of June, with the website going live shortly to give fabricators the chance to preview the system for themselves ahead of that date.

Richie Thornton of The Consultancy added: “The key to TOUCH is its ability to manage real time product configuration, pricing and business data in an entirely new way. It means that customer ordering and business management portals will become much more advanced and trade fabricators will be able to expand their installer networks quickly and cost effectively.”

Further details on TOUCH Portal and the brand-new TOUCH Vendor product specifically for installers will be released during May.
