When the brand was launched in 2013, XtremeDoor took the market by storm as a composite door that ticked all the boxes for homeowners, and offered installers a way to really stand out.
And as the name suggested, XtremeDoor took everything to the extreme, and was a fresh change from other mainstream composite doors on the market.
It boasted a high-security five-point locking system and an anti-snap, bump and drill cylinder designed to withstand the main attack methods during a burglary, provided first class weather performance thanks to a triple-sealed uPVC outer frame and GRP weatherproof skin, and exceptional thermal performance thanks to a high-density foam-filled composite door slab.
Since then, XtremeDoor has come on leaps and bounds – the GRP skin is now 100% thicker, having increased from 2mm to 4mm, while its five-hook lock has been upgraded to pull tighter to the frame and offer an even better weather seal, improving its weather performance by 50%.
The range has also since been expanded to include several new styles, RAL colours and hardware options, while machinery investments and two major factory expansions at Vista have seen increased production of the leading brand.
XtremeDoor has also been used in several net zero housing developments over the years, and in 2018, helped to rescue Liverpool’s iconic Welsh Streets, after becoming the composite door of choice for fellow Merseyside firm Warwick Development.
Ian Smith, Vista’s Business Development and Marketing Manager, comments: “In 2013, we saw a gap in the market for a high spec door that offered the very best in performance, thermal efficiency, and security, and XtremeDoor certainly ticked all the boxes.
“We’re so proud of how far the brand has come over the past 10 years, and to see that it’s still at the forefront of today’s composite door market. We’re just as excited about XtremeDoor as we were when it was launched, and it’s fantastic to see it continue to soar a decade on.”
