20220915 - Business Leader Awards

Vanquish Hardware Protection has been named Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Business Leader Awards 2023.

The leading UK manufacturer of precision Intumescent kits for rebated hardware in timber fire door assemblies, impressed the team of independent judges with its huge investment, rapid growth and solid financial performance in its first year of trading, as well as its commitment to innovation and its expansion into the UAE.

A delighted Mike Sutcliffe, Vanquish’s Business Development Manager Mike Sutcliffe said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Business Leader Awards.

“To be able to say we are an award-winning business when we are not even two years old yet is fantastic and is testament to the hard work and consistent performance the whole Vanquish team, each one of which plays a huge part in our success.

“We have achieved a huge amount in no time at all and this award is ultimately recognition of that.”

It’s been quite a 2022 for the Salisbury-based business, which boasts 30 years combined expertise in the industry, after it also launched an industry first, third party certification for both its hardware protection products – FlexiFire® graphite-based and Fire Protectors phosphate-based intumescent – earlier this year.

Oli Ballard, Director of the South West’s biggest and most celebrated business awards, commented: “Competition is getting fiercer every year; this year we received more than 250 entries which was a record, so winning a Business Leader award is no easy task. Congratulations to Vanquish from all the Business leader team.”

Hosted by Patrick Kielty, 600-plus guests including CEOs, VIPs, business leaders and professionals attended the black-tie event at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, which featured a champagne reception, gala dinner, awards presentation and charity casino.
