It’s unbelievable to think that this month marks three years since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. When the government urged everybody to stay home, no one could predict what the following months and years had in store – particularly for the home improvement industry.
The pandemic caused a home improvement boom and companies working in the industry saw a huge increase in demand. But as the UK returned to a new normal, demand slowed, and consumers were hit with a number of fresh challenges.
As the country continues to manage the fallout and recovery of the pandemic and cost of living crisis, it’s set to be a rocky road ahead. However, it’s not all doom and gloom and there are still plenty of opportunities available for ambitious installers that have the determination to push forward in these difficult times.
One company that has always been dedicated to go above and beyond to support installers is Preston-based tiled roof specialists SupaLite. Following a record year for the company, the team are determined to keep doing what they can for installers.
“It’s been an incredibly long three years that have included lots of highs and lows for the home improvement industry,” explains Cassie Watters, Marketing Manager at SupaLite.

Since 2019, SupaLite has been supporting installers across the UK through their bespoke initiative known as the SupaLite Registered Installer scheme. “We know this year is going to be tricky to navigate so we’re happy to support our members as much as possible,” adds Cassie.

As customer service is a big focus for the tiled roof specialists this year, the team are currently in the process of reviewing and updating the existing Registered Installer scheme which has been incredibly successful since it first launched four years ago.
