SupaLite launches unrivalled brand-new flat roof system into the market

Following an intensive period of research, development and years of success in lightweight tiled roofing systems, Preston-based roof specialists SupaLite have added a brand-new flat roof orangery system to their existing portfolio of products.

The new flat roof system, known as ILite, is unlike anything else on the market with its incredible strength, durability and extraordinarily quick installation time. It also exceeds building regulation requirements by offering an impressive u-value of 0.13w/m2K.

Wes Clarkson, Sales Director of SupaLite, explains: “This latest product has been specially designed, manufactured and tested to ensure it is one of the strongest, most thermally efficient and quickest to install flat roof orangery systems on the market.

“Most flat roof orangeries that are made in the conventional way can take days, sometimes weeks, to construct and complete. We know from experience that time can be a massive challenge for installers and so we wanted to create something which helped to combat this. The ILite system can typically be built in hours, saving huge amounts of time on site.”

The new flat roof orangery has been engineered with products that should last a lifetime, as Wes explains.

“The timber I-Beams that have been used in the ILite system can reach spans of approximately five meters without the need for extra support. They are also lighter than conventional large timber trusses and steel, resulting in less pressure being placed on the supporting walls and frames.

“By being manufactured from high quality, oriented strand board (OSB3) web and flanges made from Kerto laminated veneer, the I-Beam joists deliver outstanding strength and rigidity – virtually eradicating movement and instead creating greater overall strength and performance.”

When SupaLite was first introduced to the market back in 2012, the company rose to prominence by providing installers with a product which eliminated the dramatic changes in temperature seen in traditional conservatories. Ten years later and this continues to be a key factor for new SupaLite products, as Wes highlights.

“Our renowned SupaLite Tiled Roof System is well known for its incredible thermally efficient qualities. We wanted to make sure this was replicated with ILite so the design includes multi-layered insulation, totalling 170mm, with the addition of a vapour control layer to guarantee warmth in the winter months.

“ILite has been tested to achieve 0.13w/m2K which means it can outperform most competitor roof systems and traditional orangery constructions.”

SupaLite recently shared a glimpse of the new flat roof system at this year’s FIT Show, where visitors were given an overview of ILite, its key features and benefits.

“The reaction we’ve received from showcasing this new product at the FIT Show has been really positive so far. Ever since the soft launch we hosted a few months ago, we’ve seen a big spike in interest in the ILite Flat Roof System.

“We’re incredibly proud of this brand-new system and we believe it is a great addition to our existing unrivalled portfolio of SupaLite products.”
