Stedek switches up with Window Ware

When leading fabricator Stedek switched its manufacturing to the Aluplast system late last year, they turned to Window Ware for the full hardware support they needed to ensure a seamless transition and uninterrupted production, even in the face of soaring demand and supply challenges caused by the pandemic.

Today, the midlands-based company not only sources all the hardware for its Aluplast products from Window Ware, but also, more recently, for all of its Residence Collection offering too.

“When we switched profile, we needed a new hardware supplier we could rely on,” explained Andy Young, Stedek’s Operations Manager.  “We’d been buying some products for our Residence Collection doors and windows from Window Ware since 2018 and we had always received exemplary service.”

“Then in April this year, when The Residence Collection officially appointed Window Ware as its approved Regal Hardware distribution partner, that, coupled with our own positive experiences and their industry-wide reputation for reliability, sealed the deal for us! We decided it was the right time to streamline our supply chain and move all our hardware sourcing to Window Ware.”

This move couldn’t have come at a better time for Stedek, as Residence’s new hardware distribution partnership with Window Ware gave them and other Residence Collection fabricators exclusive early access to the new Regal Hardware Mark II handle 5 months before its general launch to market this autumn.

Andy added: “We have built our reputation on providing Residence excellence and delivering flawless products to our customers. Being able to offer exceptional hardware like the enhanced Mark II handle in advance ensures we can continue to deliver the superior levels of quality we’re after.”

Richard Bryant, Commercial Director at Window Ware, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Stedek have chosen Window Ware to be its primary provider of hardware for the Aluplast and Residence systems.”

“Taking on a new fabricator during a time of shortages is never easy, but the solid relationships we have with our supply partners put us in a strong position to meet their hardware needs even if the supply chain gets a bit bumpy! Regular and open dialogue with Stedek helped to make the transition to a new profile as seamless as possible for them and ensure their production lines carried on running smoothly.”

Window Ware has been successfully serving the window and door industry with leading brand hardware, tools, and consumables since 1987, helping to ensure fabricator production lines keep moving and trade counter shelves stay stocked.
