Leading full-service marketing agency Purplex has appointed two digital marketing apprentices thanks to its fantastic partnership with the local college.

Sam and Harry are currently studying for a level three qualification in marketing at Weston College and will be with Purplex for 18 months. In this time they’ll be working across several departments gaining valuable experience in social media, client services, SEO, PPC (pay-per-click), creative video and design as well as PR and content.

Purplex founder and CEO, Andrew Scott, comments: “I’ve always believed we would build a world-class business and it’s great to partner with our local college to shape the future of the South West region with initiatives like the apprenticeship programme.

“It’s a privilege to offer opportunities like this within our agency so we can help support the next generation, and I’m excited to see all that Sam and Harry will go onto achieve with our amazing group of marketeers.”

Sam and Harry are delighted to be able to combine the range of opportunities on offer at Purplex with studying a topic close to their hearts.

“I’ve always wanted a career in marketing and social media and believe this is the best opportunity for me,” comments Sam.

“It’s a relief to know how supported I am here. Learning about the industry first-hand is invaluable and the best thing I’ve done this year.”

Harry’s previous role was as a contractor working outdoors and at first he was concerned that he may not have the experience required to enter the corporate world.

“Purplex has supported me every step of the way since starting this apprenticeship scheme,” explains Harry.

“Everyone has been so patient and understanding. Both Andrew and the college have created a brilliant course and I’m enjoying each step of the process. To anyone considering an apprenticeship scheme, I’d say go for it. Don’t let lack of knowledge stop you!”
