Portico Doors announced as Yale SensCheck™ partner

Yale has announced Portico Doors as a brand-new partner for SensCheck™, the company’s range of integrated smart door and window lock sensors.

Portico Doors is a new manufacturer of composite doors, with a seasoned leadership team at the helm. The partnership will see the company supply all its composite doors with Yale SensCheck™ compatibility as standard, enabling homeowners to check the status of their doors using their smartphones and devices. This offers a competitive advantage for retailers and installers in a competitive fenestration environment, firmly placing them at the forefront of the ever-growing smart market.

Tony Craggs, Managing Director at Portico Doors, has been in the fenestration industry for 18 years and has a wealth of experience in supplying first-rate composite doors. He comments: “Yale is our perfect partner due to its strong market reputation for high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

“We’ve chosen to partner with Yale SensCheck™ because the company’s smart-compatible lock technology is unrivalled in the market. This partnership will allow installers to benefit from the association with a leading consumer brand, whilst we will also benefit from Yale’s marketing support and first-class technical expertise.”

With Yale SensCheck™, homeowners are notified via the Yale Smart Living Home App if their doors are open or closed, locked, or unlocked. The range has been accredited with the BSI kitemark for the Internet of Things (IoT). This provides a guarantee that it has been rigorously tested to ensure that it is safe, secure and functions properly as part of an ecosystem of connected products. It is also compatible with leading voice partners Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

“We’re delighted that Portico Door will be supplying all its composite doors with Yale SensCheck™ compatibility as standard,” comments Paul Atkinson, Managing Director at Yale. “Since its launch earlier this year, we’ve seen huge interest and demand for our smart sensors as window and door fabricators look to add features into their offerings to counter cooling retail markets. We are delighted to be working with Portico Doors. It’s fantastic to have them on board and share in their growth.”
