Made For Trade Enjoys Regional Business Award Success

The North East Business Awards 22 - Teeside at Middlesbrough College.

Made For Trade has been recognised for business achievements in the North East as part of prestigious local award celebrations

For more than two decades, the North East Business Awards have been shining a light on organisations that are doing great things for an exciting and dynamic region, and this year Made For Trade was delighted to be an intrinsic part of the 2022 celebrations, thanks to the company’s manufacturing operations, and recent growth and innovation.

The annual awards celebrate achievement and toast successes both large and small, new and established, but also highlight, promote and draw attention to growing and innovative businesses doing great things in the North East of England. Those businesses might be doing anything from enriching local areas, bringing new employment prospects and boosting the local economy, or simply doing things to make the North East a better place to live, work or conduct business.

The Made For Trade team recently enjoyed a fantastic evening at Middlesbrough College amongst both longstanding businesses with national reputations and new local outfits establishing themselves on a local, regional and national level. MFT were thrilled to be on the receiving end of not one but two prestigious regional North East Business Awards; for Manufacturing and High Growth and Ambition, whilst also shortlisted and finalist as Company of the Year in recognition of recent achievements.

Together with the Durham/Sunderland/South Tyneside heat and Northumberland/Tyneside heat, MFT’s awards from the Teesside heat go on to contest overall titles at The Grand Final, taking place at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield at the end of September.

As a business formed in the area and with roots firmly in Teesside but now being a renowned trade supplier on a national level, the Made For Trade team were delighted to be selected for their achievements and growth in the region. The judging panel recognise drive and ambition and celebrate all the success stories, most recently looking at businesses in the region that have risen to the unique challenges presented over the past couple of years, showing not only how talented they are but also their endless determination, entrepreneurial spirit, enterprise, innovation and creativity to make it all happen.

Speaking of the Teesside heat and picking up the awards, Made For Trade’s Operations Director Chris Wann noted the following: “It was an incredible evening; this is the first time that Made for Trade have entered regional awards, and to be recognised and achieve two awards that reflect where we are as a business today was better that we could have imagined. It was incredibly humbling to be part of an awards ceremony that represents the local and regional talent and high quality of the businesses we have here in the North East. Our congratulations to the winners and all shortlisted businesses that participated in this year’s event”

Made For Trade’s multi award-winning Korniche brand was founded with the mission to bring inspirational products to light via innovative design and engineering pedigree. Following in the footsteps of the revolutionary and multi-award winning Korniche Roof Lantern, the company has expanded the same engineering-led ethos with the bi-folding door system; making for an extremely busy year for the Wynyard-based business, alongside a re-brand, new ISO9001 certification and the opening of an in-house showroom – all key attributes proudly promoted at various industry exhibitions across 2022 and around the UK.

It’s not just behind the factory doors however where Made For Trade is being kept busy; as the North East Business Awards are the next in a long line of recent accolades for which the team back at base are delighted to have contributed. Made For Trade were up for no fewer than nine award nominations at the National Fenestration Awards alongside entries to the G-Awards, and will now be hoping to add awards from September’s Grand Final to the list and round out an exceptional year for the expanding business.
