Leading window and door brands receive certification for exceptional quality

Leading window and door brands, Window Widgets and its sister company, The Residence Collection, prove they deliver exceptional quality as they receive a renowned certification.

The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) is an international nongovernmental organisation that is made up of national standard bodies. Comprising 167 members, the ISO is an expert-let organisation that develops consensus-based standards to improve trading standards and processes globally, including quality management, environmental management, energy management, and health and safety.

Organisations are considered to be performing best-practice when following ISO standards  and are able to demonstrate that its business has a commitment to improvement.

Window Widgets and The Residence Collection recently had an external body complete an audit for the Quality Management and Environmental Management standards, to which they received an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification.

The Quality Management standard refers to overall business performance to ensure quality of products and services, whereas the Environmental Management standard includes the improvement of environmental impact. By receiving certification for each of these standards, each brand demonstrates its commitment to quality products and services, in addition to its environmental impact.

Andy Taylor, QSHE Manager at Window Widgets and The Residence Collection said: “We’re thrilled to have received certification for our Quality Management and Environmental Management standards. Everyone has worked extremely hard to ensure we are following best-practice and I’m proud to be a part of such a great team and organisation.”

In addition to the ISO Standards, each brand has collectively implemented a new and improved health and safety policy.

The health and safety policy outlines the way in which the business will manage health and safety risks and comes after an array of work has been completed to improve the workplace environment. This work includes risk assessments, standard operation procedures (SOPs), employee training, and investment in new equipment to ensure safe working practices.

This has resulted in an improved health and safety culture where employees are encouraged to take health and safety seriously for best-practice and the improvement of workplace culture. Upon implementation of the health and safety policy, a legal compliance audit was conducted by a consultant to ensure they are compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation.

This not only demonstrates that Window Widgets and The Residence Collection prides itself on its product offering and customer satisfaction, but the health and safety of its visitors, employees and contractors too.
