Haffner supporting local community sport

Award-winning machinery supplier Haffner has been the club sponsor for its local football team, Stone Old Alleynians, for a number of years. In addition to the sponsorship, the company has recently funded two significant initiatives. Dave Thomas, Managing Director at Haffner, said: “We’re proud to be based in Stone and to be able to support our local community in this way.”

The first initiative is a five-figure investment in new floodlights for the team’s ground, Kings Park.  Dave commented: “Stone Old Alleynians currently play at step 5 in the Midland League Premier Division. The club’s long-term aim is to become a sustainable football club, providing a pathway for girls and boys to play football as high up the footballing pyramid as possible. The investment in the local community allows these ambitions to become a reality and will inspire the next generation of Alleynians.”

Haffner also funded free football sessions for Stone’s children in the summer holidays. The scheme allowed hundreds of boys and girls to get into football and has led to the creation of over 20 new youth teams. Dave commented: “Exercise is really important for mental and physical health and wellbeing, perhaps even more so in light of the stresses and strains of the past 18 months. It’s great to see our support helping so many kids see the benefits.”

Haffner was voted Machinery Supplier of the Year at the 2020 NFA Awards. It is the exclusive UK supply partner of Graf Synergy, the only company to offer V-Perfect Technology that guarantees the perfect angle every time. It is the sole UK agent of Haffner Machinery, which designs innovative and high-quality engineered products and supplies a range of aluminium fabrication machines from worldwide machine giants, Fom Industrie.

Haffner has been part of the Stone community for over 30 years. In that time, it has grown to become the industry’s leading supplier of cutting-edge fabrication machinery and now offers the widest range of machines.  As its support of the local football team shows, the company is clearly proud of its community and delighted to be able to give back.
