FIT for Purpose

As a leading door and window fabricator Quickslide’s message has always been clear: heritage is a higher end market where performance and aesthetics matter along with value for money. Offering premium products is vital if you want to attract these customers who are more likely cushioned against the rising cost of living,  but who still need to be assured that – in these uncertain times – they are parting with their money for quality products which will benefit both the style and energy efficiency of their homes for years to come.

“We’ll be on stand R31 at this year’s FIT Show demonstrating just how Quickslide helps installers reach and secure sales to this lucrative heritage market,” says Managing Director Ben Weber.

“We’ve got new aluminium lines and exclusive dual foil colour options, plus we offer our partners the personalised marketing support they need to ensure they not only offer the best products to customers, but know how to sing about them and convert leads into sales too.”

Aluminium doors and windows

Among Quickslide’s new aluminium lines that visitors to the FIT Show can find out more about is AluSpace’s new super slim aluminium interior screen and hinged door system and the versatile aluminium Indi-fold slide-and-stack door system.

“We recently purchased a new aluminium CNC machine and now we look forward to offering more aluminium products,” says Ben. “It fully automates the routing process fast and accurately, as well as using bar code scanning to track items and stock levels.”

Exclusive dual foils

A brand new 18,500ft2 dedicated foiling facility has increased Quickslide’s in-house foiling capacity by 30%, allowing additional new colour options, including exclusive dual foils for vertical sliders, to be introduced.

“We appealed directly to our trade partners to find out which dual colours would sell best,” explains Ben, “and we now offer exterior/interior combinations of grey woodgrain/heritage white and agate grey/heritage white. We’ve also included a white woodgrain/smooth white option for VS from stock, as well as launching smooth grey across the entire Deceuninck range.

“We know from our trade partners that offering colour options is really important for premium customers, and increasing our in-house foiling capacity will enable us to bring out more new colourways quickly and cost effectively as trends change.”

Single sash window compliance

Quickslide was heavily involved in the development of an exclusive vent solution for its Legacy VS window, which means all its welded vertical sliders of more than 1055mm in width can now carry 12,000 EA in a single window, meeting the new Building Regulation requirements for ventilation in England, Wales and Scotland.

“We pride ourselves on offering ‘heritage without compromise’. Which means offering the best in industry-leading standards of performance in an authentically styled traditional window,” says Ben. “We know our customers won’t compromise, which is why we don’t either.”

New marketing portal

A new marketing portal currently in development will enable Quickslide’s trade partners to personalise their marketing materials by including their own images of installations carried out by them instead of using stock images. An installer dashboard will let stockists featured on Quickslide’s installer map manage leads received through them, while the IT system automatically sends customers an overview of outstanding quotes. Quickslide trade partners can also look forward to the introduction of Touch Portal, the industry’s first end-to-end ordering system, allowing trade partners to process their own orders seamlessly from initial retail enquiry through to production.

“So, to make sure you are able to offer your customers what they want, pop along to our stand R31 at the FIT Show and see how we can offer you what you need, from the right products to the marketing and business support to help you sell them,” says Ben.

“We’ll also be unveiling a new Legacy VS feature that we’ve been keeping under wraps, so drop by to find out about that too. We look forward to seeing you.”
