Factory expansion equips Central to meet growing demand

With demand for home improvement products continuing to rise, full solution fabricator Central Window Systems has expanded its manufacturing facility by a further 8,500 square feet, bringing them to a total of 52,000 square feet.

“The factory expansion gives us the capacity to manufacture around 1,500 frames per week, which has been vital in keeping up with growing demand,” comments Central Window Systems CEO Gary Morton.

The increased capacity has also provided more storage space, meaning Central is able to keep more stock and cut lead times to a minimum, ensuring customers get what they need, when they need it.

In addition to a factory expansion, Central Window Systems has implemented a second shift to accommodate for the increased demand.

“This has allowed for more flexibility to increase capacity levels – as a company we are putting in more hours, without overworking our production team,” Gary explains.

“Even with government restrictions easing, the industry boom from last year is showing no signs of slowing down, and we are seeing an ever increasing demand for home improvement products across the board.

“There are several factors working in our favour – one is the stamp duty deferral which means homeowners have more money to spend on home improvement products, and the second is the rise of working from home, meaning more and more people are looking to create outbuildings, extensions and home offices.

“Thirdly, in the wake of Covid-19, the government is looking to stimulate the economy with infrastructure, meaning we will be able to land more commercial contracts.

“All of this equates to increased demand, and thanks to our recent factory expansion and the introduction of a second shift, we’re confident we’ll be able to keep up and continue to deliver a fantastic service to our valued customers.”

Central Window Systems provides an outstanding range of aluminium, PVCu windows, doors and conservatories, as well as extensive curtain wall and roof light systems.
