Experienced Business Development Manager returns to Cotswold

Cotswold Architectural Products is celebrating the return of long-serving Business Development Manager Alan Hartley.

First joining the business as a storeman aged just 19, Alan quickly progressed to internal sales, before shifting into the external sales roles where he’s spent much of the last 37 years.

During that time, as well as building relationships with customers around the UK, he also represented the company around the globe.

Now, he’s returned to the newly independent Cotswold to spearhead its sales once again, as the company embarks on ambitious plans for growth in the years ahead.

Alan comments: “I’m absolutely delighted to be coming back to Cotswold. It’s a business I have a huge affinity and affection for, and it really feels like coming home.

“I firmly believe in the brand, and after so many years, I feel like it’s part of my DNA.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with many brilliant and passionate people in that time and done business with some great characters and companies – many of whom are still in the industry today, so I look forward to reconnecting with them.

“At Cotswold, it’s never been about just selling individual products – ‘Quality, Reliability and Service’ has always been at the heart of what we do.

“Tim has assembled a great team to get Cotswold back to those core values, and I look forward to playing my part.”

Cotswold Managing Director Tim Ferkin comments: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming Alan back to the business.

“I worked with him for much of his time at Cotswold, and have seen his passion, dedication and huge knowledge first-hand.

“Alan lives and breathes hardware, and knows our market as well as anyone I know. I can’t think of a better candidate to help us take Cotswold into the next phase of its history.”
