Held in Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, the event will feature informative keynote speakers, networking opportunities and lively panel discussions.

This year’s Glazing Summit has come at a particularly crucial time, as the industry deals with a raft of potentially demanding new legislation.

In particular, the Future Homes Standard, due to come into force in 2025, could transform the face of British fenestration.

Chris Alderson will join other industry experts on The New Regulation Minefield panel, offering his views on the changing regulatory landscape, and its potential impact for the sector.

Chris comments: “While we don’t know the scale or exact nature of the changes that lie ahead, what’s clear is that the industry must be ready to adapt.

“The Glazing Summit provides a fantastic forum to bring together key stakeholders from across our sector to share views and ideas, and help fenestration prepare for the future.

“I’m particularly interested to discuss the role triple-glazing could play in helping British construction meet the Future Home Standard’s ambitious requirements.”

Edgetech, a subsidiary of Quanex, has always positioned itself at the forefront of innovation. Manufacturers of Super Spacer®, the innovative warm-edge spacer bar, Edgetech has already invested heavily in sustainable solutions for use within the glazing industry.

The New Regulation Minefield panel will be held at the 2023 Glazing Summit at 9:50am on the 12th of October.
