Customers Flock to FIT around Korniche Displays at the NEC

Huge interest and large crowds were on hand to see Made For Trade’s innovative range of Korniche products, as the North East-based company returned to the FIT Show in Birmingham after a three-year hiatus.

No sooner were exhibitions back in action than Made For Trade were on display, however the real highlight of the 2022 calendar took place in May when MFT returned to the popular FIT Show after two years of pandemic-forced absence for the industry’s best-connected event. Making up for lost time, MFT duly became the centre of attention and kept the full eight-strong team busy from start to finish throughout the three-day event, keeping up with exceptional demand for product information.

On display at the stand was the company’s multi-award-winning and revolutionary Korniche roof lantern; six years since the FIT Show was chosen as the original launch exhibition before going on to be a sales phenomenon. For the first time in 2022 at the Fenestration Industries Trade show though, the exciting aluminium Korniche Bi-Folding Door system took centre stage. Complete with the game-changing ‘SpeedBead’ design, crowds flocked to find out more about the product’s impressive clip bead USP; revolving around the simplicity and speed with which the doors can be both installed and glazed.

Widely promoted as being more than just a show but rather ‘the community for our industry’, attendees of the free-to-attend FIT Show were blown away by the simplicity of the Korniche and its innovative new design for installation and glazing. This was something duly capitalised on by the Wynyard-based organisation, who have been a longstanding exhibitor at the event, and this year created a 170sqm stand for the three days of the show. The SpeedBead not only allows the door to be ‘Glazed in Seconds’, but is also one step ahead with its ability to be removed without damage – using the bead removal tool included with each system – should the glazing need to be removed for any reason in future.

This was demonstrated with maximum effect by offering visitors to the 2022 FIT Show the chance to win £1000 in a prize draw by simply agreeing to try the SpeedBead first-hand there and then at the NEC, and see just how this pioneering engineering solution saves time and money – not to mention hassle – by progressing glazing systems beyond the use of gaskets.

Speaking of the reception to the product display at the FIT Show, Made For Trade Managing Director Bradley Gaunt said the following: ‘The intensity and quality of the interest for our products was incredibly humbling whilst the positivity, especially for our new Korniche Bi-Folding Door made the whole journey to develop it and take it to market completely worthwhile.’

Further heightening the presence at the show, it was this industry-leading exhibition where MFT’s stand was resplendent in its new corporate identity complete with eye-catching teal logo for the first time; following the re-brand of the Korniche product line last year.

‘The best products, the best service and the best price’ has always been the MFT mantra, and game-changing solutions via the use of next-level engineering prowess to save customer costs and ease the installation process have never been so important, especially in times of such economic uncertainly. With exhibitions and customer feedback anything like that of FIT 2022, more exciting times are ahead for the Korniche product line.
