CDW Systems adds the Smart Alitherm Heritage Range to its product line

While many companies struggled through lockdown, for CDW Systems, the renowned Gloucester based aluminium fabricator, 2020 was a busy year.

In recent months, in response to increasing demand from customers, they’ve added flat roof lights and Designer Doors to their range.

Now, they’ve added a third product from Smart Systems to their portfolio – the Smart Alitherm Heritage Range, providing the ideal solution for heritage projects.

The modern thermal aluminium range has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of refurbishment renewal projects, particularly in sensitive planning areas, and is ideal for Victorian and Art Deco projects.

CDW has already had success with this range in their local Gloucestershire area where there are many of these older properties in need of refurbishment.

The wide range of commercial residential windows and balcony doors have also been proven in many renovation, refurbishment and heritage projects across the UK.

The Alitherm Heritage door and window ranges both feature slim profiles and sightlines that are associated with traditional steel doors and windows. However, the system’s timeless elegance is also accompanied by the outstanding thermal performance of a modern aluminium system – each delivering a ‘B’ Energy Rating.

The window range is available in several formats, including fixed-pane, top-hung and side-hung casement, pivot and tilt and turn. These different options may be installed in a combination of horizontal modules, which are stacked using Smart’s coupling options to form a multi-part window featuring a specially designed drip bar between modules.

Alitherm Heritage windows are security tested to PAS 24:2016 and come with both Heritage and Art Deco hardware options.

Meanwhile, Alitherm Heritage balcony doors are available in a wide range of sizes, can be either tape or gasket glazed, and are supplied with a multi-point lock mechanism as well as face-mounted finger thrown locking bolts.

Group Chairman Jeremy Phillips comments: “CDW is always looking to invest in new products so that we can provide our customers with the service they need to grow their business.

“We’ve got a great working relationship with Smart, and their Alitherm Heritage Range is a great system. The slim profiles and sightlines are the ideal solution for building renovations as well as new projects, and we’re excited to be offering this new range to installers.”

Established in 1992, CDW Systems is one of the UK’s longest running aluminium specialists, and its expertise and extensive market knowledge has seen it grow to one of the most well-respected specialists in the trade supply of aluminium window, door and curtain wall products.
