A hearty well done!

Window Ware has raised £1530 for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice with a special Valentine’s Fundraiser.

The idea was simple: For every order placed on February 14th – whether it was over the phone, by email or via the website – the Bedfordshire-based door and window hardware specialist donated £5 to their nominate charity.

And there’s no doubt Window Ware’s big-hearted customers rose to the challenge of ensuring a sizeable fundraising total at the end of the day! In fact, the most romantic Monday of the year turned out to be markedly busier than usual, with the company receiving around 20% more sales orders than the daily average for last year!

“We couldn’t have asked for a better response,” exclaimed Window Ware MD, Sam Nuckey. “I want to thank our customers for their amazing show of support. All those extra orders really helped to boost our total. We’re grateful to everyone who got involved, particularly if you decided to place your order earlier or later than normal just so it would coincide with our Valentine’s fundraiser!”

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is based in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire and provides expert care for life-limiting conditions. Over the years, their dedicated team of nurses, doctors and caregivers have touched the lives of several member of the team at Window Ware, including their dear friend and co-worker, Saikou Jabbi who sadly lost his battle with cancer late last year. That’s why St John’s Hospice is particularly close to Window Ware’s heart.

“Wow – what an incredibly generous donation!” congratulated Joanne Landucci, Senior Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder. “Window Ware’s kind and continued support of St John’s Hospice helps us be there for patients and families locally and we are so grateful. This amount could go towards paying for a 3-night stay on the in-patient unit for one patient. It truly means so much to us.”
