We are one step closer to finding out who will take away the first-placed cash prize of £5,000 in The Master Fitter Challenge as the eight finalists competing are announced. Each of them has made it through the rigour of the preliminary stages but now comes the ultimate test of skill, nerve and judgement as eight of the country’s best installation teams prepare to go head-to-head live at the ICT to be proclaimed ‘FIT Show Master Fitter 2013’.
Step forward: Dave Eagles of Bespoke Property Maintenance Ltd; Adrian Simpson of AJS Windows-Iver; Zak Patterson of T & J Conservatories, Aaron Clegg of Sashes of Distinction; Nigel Grant of Nigel Grant UPVC; Tom Miller and Paul Casbolt of Y.E.S. Glazing Solutions, Craig Hanson of Pennine Trade and Retail Windows and Scott Higgs of Polar Windows Chesterfield.
But in order to be in the running for the top cash prize of £5,000, each finalist will be expected to successfully complete a series of demanding window, door and conservatory roof installation challenges in front of an assembled audience, adjudicated by event assessors GQA Qualifications.
Expect plenty cheers, and possibly even a few tears as our finalists take to the specially constructed pavilion in Hall 2 on April 16th and 17th and compete against one another to prove themselves as the best fitter in the industry.
With further cash prizes of £3,000 available for the runner-up and £2,000 for the third-placed participant, there’s plenty to play for but expect to see the event bring out the competitive side in all our finalists as they look to be crowned the country’s ‘Master Fitter’.
To add to the tension further, the overall winner of the competition won’t be announced until The FIT Show Gala Dinner on the night of April 17th.
Whose FITness levels will surpass all others? Get yourself to Hall 2 to find out.
The FIT Show is being held at The International Centre Telford from 16th to 18th April 2013. More information on the seminars and how to register to beat the queues can be found at www.fitshow.co.uk.
