White and grey is the most popular dual-colour for aluminium, a recent poll from bi-fold door specialist TWR Bifolds has revealed.

Launched as a response to increased demand for its coloured products, TWR Bifolds started a campaign to find out the most popular dual-colour combination for aluminium bi-folding doors.

Installers were encouraged to register their opinion online by filling out a survey, with one lucky participant picked at random to win a free bi-fold door.

The live poll offered multiple choices of colour combinations including Chartwell Green and White, Black and White, Brown and White, and Cream and White.

After collating the results, White and Grey triumphed as the preferred option, and TWR Bifolds is using this insight into the market to help streamline its manufacturing and colour processing.

Terry Richardson, Managing Director of TWR Bifolds comments: “Investment in in-house colour coating facilities means we can offer extremely fast lead times on coloured aluminium, including dual-colour options.

“With our recent poll revealing grey and white as the most popular colour combination we’re now making it even easier for installers by having this colour on stock 24/7, ready to manufacture and supply when it’s needed.

“This gives our customers an edge over the competition as not only can they offer homeowners more colour choice to increase sales, installers can turn around jobs even quicker on the most popular dual-colour combination in this market.”

Part of the TWR Group, TWR Bifolds manufactures a range of quality aluminium products including bi-fold doors, patio doors and vertical sliders and can supply these in any RAL colour on an incredibly fast six day lead time.

TWR Bifolds supplies coloured aluminium products to installers nationwide but is also keen to partner with single product fabricators to help them expand their product range without incurring additional manufacturing costs.

Terry concludes: “As a wider trend, we are seeing demand for colour increasing almost exponentially. Colour really is king now, with homeowners even choosing to just re-spray parts of their home rather than invest in new products. There are huge opportunities for installers to capitalise on.”
