QUICKSLIDE FINALISTS IN FIVE CATEGORIES IN TWO KEY INDUSTRY AWARDS

Yorkshire based manufacturer Quickslide has been shortlisted in no less than five categories, in two widely recognised window and door sector awards that are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence in the industry.

Quickslide has been announced as finalist in three categories of the National Fenestration Awards, including Vertical Sliding Window Company of the Year, Sliding Patio Door Company of the Year together with the cherished Fabricator of the Year award. The winners will be announced in mid October. Adding to these the Brighouse-based window and door fabricator has also been included in two categories in the finals for the long standing G Awards, which will be presented during the usual glittering ceremony in London’s Park Lane, at the end of November. These are for the Training & Development Award, and also Fabricator of the Year.

Quickslide Chairman Adrian Barraclough said: “Fabricator of the Year is an especially tough category to compete in; the companies shortlisted are diverse, represent outstanding quality and are all equally deserving of a place in the final few. We have worked hard over the past twelve months to invest in our infrastructure, expand our fleet, develop personnel, improve our visual presence and evolve our product offering in order to maintain the high standards we expect from ourselves. I truly feel that these efforts have positioned us well with regards to success in this category.”

Commenting on the unique philosophy behind his company’s success Adrian added: “Customisation is key for Quickslide, and we hope that our approach to treating ‘windows as furniture’ shines through in each of the categories. Our products form part of people’s homes, and we spend a lot of time ensuring that we produce something not only practical, but also beautiful. We came first and second in the NFA categories we were nominated in last year, and have been frequent winners at the G Awards. Let’s hope we have reason to pop a few bottles again this year!
