profine Group officially opened its new €500,000 Window Innovations Centre at the Pirmasens site on the 6th November, 2015, as the premium German PVCu systems specialist looks to continue to build on its product engineering pedigree through it’s KBE, Kömmerling and Trocal brands.

In a completely modernised hall along with a newly built annex, a wide range of product development and testing processes will be carried out in a 15,000sq foot area. This will include all activities related to the construction of prototypes, window and systems tests and the support for design and product development.

In total, profine has invested around €500,000 in the comprehensive modernisation, which includes the new annex and in cutting-edge technology and equipment. The Window Innovations Center has two test rigs for air, wind and water testing, a continuous function test rig as well as a separate climatic chamber.

‘The Window Innovations Center is a further investment in the market success of our products. It will help us to implement the requirements of our customers even more quickly and at any time to develop the best possible solutions for the window industry’ said Dr. Peter Mrosik, owner and CEO of profine, during the opening ceremony.

Stefan Seidel, managing director of profine UK, concluded: ‘It’s important for us to have these considerable resources at our disposal as we look to develop the latest innovations in PVCu window and door technologies. With products such as the Secured by Design PremiLine PRO and the lift and slide PremiDoor 88, we believe we’re far ahead of our nearest competitors.’
