Polyframe leaves the fax at the door

THE UK’s largest independent window and door fabricator, Polyframe, has left behind the traditional fax machine and installed a new online ordering system in conjunction with The Consultancy’s on-going Death of the Fax campaign.

Polyframe Composite Doors has launched a mobile-responsive ordering system and Door Designer, incorporating its full range of composite doors.

This allows tradesmen to log onto a tailored trade portal, design their products and generate live quotes, taking into account unique pricing structures and delivery calculations. Every quote created can then be saved and followed up, with previous quotes and live orders available to view.

The fabricator came to The Consultancy wanting to move its systems online, streamline its selling process and taking away human-error and printing costs incurred by faxing.

Dave Bingley, Group IT Manager of Polyframe, said: “This is the first time we have worked with The Consultancy and we are delighted with the system they have designed and put in place.

“Our new online ordering system and Door Designer can be accessed on mobile, tablet or desktop simplifying the sales process for our tradesmen.

“This system has already been integrated into our Mansfield factory, meaning that as soon as an order is confirmed it is fed straight to the shop floor where our staff will begin the manufacturing process.

“It’s incredible to see just how far we’ve come with our new online system, a couple of months ago all of our orders relied on our fax machines.”

The success of Polyframe Composite Doors is yet another project for The Consultancy to add to its growing portfolio and, in particular, its current Death of the Fax campaign.

Richie Thornton, Director of The Consultancy, said: “This is the perfect example of how a strategic online system can completely revolutionise a business.

“I can’t stress enough that the companies in the industry still regularly using the fax machine are missing out on the digital age and need to begin taking notice of how their customers and traders work.

“If anyone is interested in more information, feel free to contact us. We can provide tailored solutions for businesses of any size.”
