Saint-Gobain Glass UK Ltd has announced the appointment of Andy Hyde as Sales & Marketing Director, heading the company’s sales and marketing teams and reporting to UK Managing Director Pierre Lucien-Brun. Based at the Eggborough, Yorkshire float plant Andy brings with him almost 20 years of sales, marketing and specification marketing experience in building products. His former roles were with British Gypsum and more recently insulation manufacturer Isover, both part of the Saint-Gobain Group.

A series of CE Marking workshops, hosted by Synseal Extrusions, has proven to be so popular that they are being repeated. CE Marking is a legal requirement that comes into force at the beginning of July 2013. As CE Marking of doors and windows includes safety testing, if something goes wrong those liable could be faced with fines and/or imprisonment.
