The VEKA UK Group has recently welcomed Mark Barsby to its Burnley-based site, in the role of Head of Technical.  Joining the glazing industry in 1985, Mark has been in the PVC-U window systems game ever since. “At the age of 16, I went to work for my original employer for three days to earn some money before college, but I ended up there for 22 years!”

Not satisfied riding the length of the UK, Europe and indeed the USA back in 2008, GM Fundraising have just launched their latest charity adventure. ‘Hope 66’, which is sponsored by Mighton Products Ltd, will take a team of cyclists along the iconic Route 66 in the USA.On 30 August 2013, 15 riders and 6 support crew will start their 14 day adventure from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California on a 2,616 mile exploit. The riders will be faced with 100 plus mile days in the saddle, the Arizona desert where temperatures will be well in excess of 40 degrees and the torturous climbing of the southern Rocky Mountains.
