Summer finally arrived together with a cheque for almost £6,000 for a Chichester, West Sussex based couple, the latest homeowners to get back the cost of their new windows and doors in the Planitherm cash-back promotion.  Mr and Mrs Grover bought 9 windows together with front and back doors from Bognor Regis-based Wayne Windows, being careful to specify ‘A’ Rated frames throughout. The couple specified rosewood on white and a full range of openings and features when they decided to update their otherwise modern home.

VEKA celebrates a summer of sports!

VEKA is showing its support for London 2012 with a series of new sports-themed adverts. Following a successful debut in Clearview magazine, the three new adverts in the campaign will also appear in July and August trade issues to coincide with the London 2012 Olympics.  Themes including athletics are being used to promote the newly-formed VEKA UK Group and how its number one position in the industry reflects that of the success Great Britain is hoping to achieve.

Leading bending specialist, Universal Arches and cable trunking manufacturer, Rehau, have again worked in partnership in the education sector on a refurbishment project at Darwen Vale High School in Blackburn, Lancashire.  As school design move towards more contemporary layouts, new product solutions are being developed to accommodate new designs and shapes of rooms. For this latest collaboration between the two companies, Universal were able to provide a bespoke curved solution for the trunking on several shaped internal walls in the form of pre-shaped sections.

Network VEKA and Malvern Glass land social housing contract

Worcestershire-based window contractor and home improvement company, Malvern Glass recently completed a contract with Solihull Community Housing as part of their Window Replacement Programme for 2011/12.The contract saw the survey, manufacture and installation of replacement windows to nearly 30 properties, all to the Secured by Design standard and continuing Solihull Community Housing's enhancement programme.
