Court ruling clarification: what actually happened?

"The Court of Appeal has upheld the High Court ruling on FiTs albeit on different grounds. We disagree and are seeking permission to appeal to the Supreme Court.  “We have already put before Parliament changes to the regulations that will bring a 21p rate into effect from April for solar PV installations from March 3 to help reduce the pressure on the budget and provide as much certainty as we can for consumers and industry.

DECC is denied feed-in tariff appeal

The court judgement means all those who have installed solar since December 12, and those who intend to install systems before the March 3 cut-off point, will receive the higher feed-in tariff rates for the full 25 years. Customers who register on or after March 3 will qualify for the current higher rate until April 1, when the rates will drop to the lower rates, as set out in the October 31 announcement.

As GM Fundraising enters its 16th year, the glazing industry’s preferred charity looks set to continue with a number of new charity events already being worked on for 2012 and 2013.  To date the charity has raised over £830,000 through Chairman Gary Morton and ably supported by a small number of committed volunteers, most of which are from the glazing and associated industries.
