Saint-Gobain Glass UK’s first full year Planitherm TV promotional campaign with the has been a “fantastic success, way beyond expectations”. That is the view of Craig Dodsworth, Residential Market Manager for Planitherm, who has headed up the team that created the UK’s biggest-ever promotional campaign for window glass.

Kömmerling have now launched their bi-folding door system in a wide range of colours from stock including white, rosewood, golden oak, Irish Oak, cream, grey and Chartwell Green. This bi-folding door system allows for a maximum of seven sashes, each capable of dimensions of 2.2m high by 0.8m wide and it’s capable of spanning 5.7m. The 5 chambered system comprises of five main profiles including two outer frames, a French door mullion and two bespoke sashes based on Kömmerling’s C70 Gold chamfered suite.

Synseal Extrusions has achieved its ambitious target of ‘zero waste to landfill’ making it one of the most environmentally friendly companies in the industry. The ‘zero waste to landfill’ objective was established with the aim of reducing the company’s overall environmental impact, and strengthening its audited ISO 14001 certification. It was a tall order for a high volume PVC-U extrusion company, due to the nature and variety of waste produced on site.

Synseal has introduced a range of “open in” or “open out” low thresholds for residential and French doors that need to comply with Part M of the Building Regulations. Approved Document M ensures that everyone has equal access to buildings, with a particular focus on disabled people. For example, wheelchair users should be able to enter shops and offices without confronting steps or obstructive thresholds.
