Network VEKA is celebrating signing the 100th member to its Assure self-certification scheme just a year after the initiative was launched. Now, more than 80% of all installer members in England and Wales have the Assure accreditation, giving them subscription-free self-certification while some other schemes can ask anything from hundreds to over £1,000 a year.

The last 12 months has been a record period for trade conservatory roof sales at Four Seasons Conservatories UK Ltd. Now manufacturing over 50 roofs per week the final quarter of 2011 saw sales turnover up 20% year on year. More than 30 of the UK window, door and conservatory industry’s leading companies have signed up as exhibitors at The FIT Show, the brand new business event that will take place in April 2013. Beginning in December strange messages began appearing on Twitter announcing ‘I am going’ and ‘Everyone’s going’. It can now be revealed that these were teaser messages from the first companies to take exhibition space at The FIT Show, the first national event to be launched specifically for the home improvement glazing sector and aimed squarely at fabricators and installers.

Leading composite door manufacturer Solidor and sister company Nice Door Panels have grown significantly over the last 18 months and there seems no sign of the growth abating, with more new customers coming on board by the week. For Solidor the growth has been particularly impressive, as both installation companies and homeowners look towards the 2nd generation composite doors which are packed with new features.
