The GGF’S Networking Event on the 25th of September proved both memorable and enjoyable as over 50 Members and guests visited the Museum of Brands in Notting Hill.
Held on the evening before the GGF’s Members’ Day, the Networking Event gave Members the opportunity to relax and enjoy the unique venue which exceeded all expectations with the highlight being the Time Tunnel – a vast range of product and brand displays covering every era going back to Victorian times.

FENSA, the glazing industry’s leading competent person scheme is set to help spearhead Building Our Skills (BOS) ‘Inspiring The Future’ campaign launched to introduce Fenestration to schools and colleges.

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) annual Members’ Day conference held on 26 September at Hilton Olympia in Kensington, was hailed a great success by GGF senior staff, Members and Board directors.
With a record number of Member companies in attendance, over 100 delegates witnessed presentations from four leading voices from the fenestration, construction, politics and energy sectors.

200 Spectus Flush Tilt & Turn Windows were specified and installed in the construction of 44 high quality social housing properties for Crawley Borough Council.
A former depot in Southgate Crawley, the 22 houses and 22 flats were situated in a high-profile location and aesthetics of the development was vital. Architecturally, a contemporary interpretation of the Crawley ‘new town’ style was specified, with mainly brick elevations, using a palette of three colours, and windows with reconstituted stone surrounds on the buildings at the entrance to the site.

In business as an aluminium window and sliding door fabricator and installer for just three years, volumes had grown quickly for North East Bifolds Ltd, based at Seaham, near Sunderland and the owners decided to invest in a CNC machining centre.
However, having made the decision to purchase such a machine from one supplier, directors Tony Meah and Chris Craggs switched to a Kombimatec AMC308 after seeing one in action at a business associate’s factory and examining the high quality offered in that firm’s products.
